I do think readicide is a problem at schools today. I think
that it is a problem because the schools today are too focused on the test and
it takes away from the book. So I do believe
that they are over teaching books. It really ruins books when we have to keep stopping
and analyzing it. I don’t think that teachers should just let kids read the
book then take a test on it but should group kids together that all read at the
same pace. And let them all talk about the book to see what they each took from
it. I think most of the books you read in school should be literary fiction because
literary fiction is better for teaching kids book smarts like how to write and
the proper way to do it and it is a lot easier to teach and test on most of the
things taught in English class using literary fiction. But teacher should allow
time to read what the students want because usually genre fiction teaches other
things that literary fiction cant. Things that make you look at the world different.
Sometimes the same book can teach two different readers two different things because
it all depends on how you take it and process what the book is saying. So if
you try to analyze genre fiction as a class and tell them what the book is
trying to say then it will totally ruin the experience. I do not like the idea of changing mice of men for twighlit and Macbeth for hunger
games because those books teach things that are important but like I said earlier
we should add new books not swap old ones out. The ones we should add are genre
fiction that the students get to choose so that students don’t start to hate
reading.

Some challenges the filmmakers would face would be showing how number four really feels because most of the parts of the book that represent how he feels about the situation he is currently in would translate into a pretty boring scene on the big screen. because most of them are him sitting there and thinking things over in his head and i don't think movie goers want to see someone sit there in silence thinking about things. one thing that the filmmakers must incorporate is when number four meets Sarah and there relationship throughout the story because that relationship really effects how the plot unfolds later in the book. Another thing they would need to keep is part where number four gets the mysterious letters and when the Mongolians show up. The third thing they would need to keep is all the other action scenes because that usually tends to make a good movie.
One thing the filmmakers should probably take out is most of the training that he does everyday. They should put a little of it in the movie to show the viewers what he is doing but only show it once not everyday like they do in the book. Another thing they should take out is when mark and his Friends jump number four and he fends them off because this does not really add to the story in any way except put a little more action in it. the last thing that they should take out is the long road trip number four and Henri make up to Ohio they should just show when they get there and not the hole drive like they do in the book.

Book one project:
Dauntless experience camp
Day two is
leaning to fight. Real martial arts directors will be there to show you very
real and dangerous combat moves. You will also be ranked by your ability to
learn from the instructors. You will not use these newly learned skills on
another person, that part comes later. Food is given to you throughout the day
and training ends at 8. After that you are free to roam the compound as you
wish until bed time.
Day three is
shooting. We will all meet at the shooting range at first will be given a
paintball gun so that you learn the safety procedures first. Then you will be
handed a real weapon with live ammo. You will be closely monitored by your
councilor to make sure you don’t accidentally hurt somebody. Then it’s time to
put your skills to the test. You will go one by one and will be watched and
judged by all the counsels. Targets will pop up and move and spin and it is
your job to hit as many as you can in a limited time. Then we will all gather
and get back on the train and split into two teams and we will all participate in
one of the biggest paintball war you have ever seen. It will be a basic capture
the flag game and whoever wins gets mass respect and a extra piece of cake when
you get back. Also winning will help your raking.
Day four is
fighting. Remember when you learned how to fight; now you get to put those
skills to use. There will be a huge one loss elimination tournament. Each gender
will have their own tournament. Don’t worry there will be a number of rules and
refs to make sure that you are safe but not to much that it is no longer fun or
challenging.

Day five is
the finale day before leaving the compound and the day you have all been
waiting for. You will go through your own fear landscape. Since there is no
such thing as a simulation serum we have made something as close to it as
possible. You will be asked your fears on a lie detector and your answers will
be then to a 3-D high definition movie clip."Becoming fearless isn't the point that's impossible its learning how to control your fear and how to be free from it." You will then walk into the fear
landscape room witch is one big screen in a complete circle and experience that
movie. It will be realistic and very scary. You may stop that movie with a safe
word whenever you want to but if you want to rank high I advise against it. After
everyone has gone you will be given your score. Do your best and don't underestimate your opponents "A brave man acknowledges the strength of others" Don't worry no one is going to
go frictionless but more campers are very excited to see where they would have
stood if they lived in the world of divergent.
The point of
this camp is to bring you closer with the feeling and challenges of the
characters in the movie while you are still completely safe. Also it will make
people who maybe have not read the book want to, to see how close their experience
was to the characters in the book. Don’t forget faction before blood and I hope
you choose dauntless.

my book
i am now reading divergent and i am really enjoying it. it has gone far past the expectation i had when i first picked up the book. what i really enjoy about the book is how the author tells what is going on and how the characters feel. the way she does it make everything seem more real. one example is that the main character did not beat up a group of guys when she has never even fought someone before. the fist time she actually fought someone she got knocked unconsciousbecause she had no idea what she was doing so she had to learn and practice those skills to be good at them just like we have to do in the real world. Also the romance in this book is more realistic because she doesn't see someone and automatically fall in love with them but she slowly start to spend more time with that person creating a relationship with him and it grows stronger throughout the book. i think that is a good representation of what actually happens in the real world.
a book is a person
I think a book is more like a person in many ways because you
can like or book or hate one based on its thoughts and ideas. Sometimes you
even find that one book you really like and cherish almost like your best friend
because you like that book more than all the other books. You agree with all
the ideas and concepts the book has to offer. They are also like people because
they are all roughly characterized as one thing such as some are Sci-Fi or Non
Fiction ore Romance the same way people are characterized as nerds or jocks. But
when you get past that main thing there is more to the book. There are all different
categories all jumbled together to make a great and intriguing story. I also believe
this is the same with people that once you get to read more into them and learn
more about them you start to realize there is more to that person than just
what you see on the surface. People can change the way we feel like when you’re
in a bad mood and there is that one person that makes you feel better to just
be around. Books also change how you
feel in the same sort of way people do once you get lost in your book you start
to forget whatever was troubling you before. Some books you are forced to read weather it
is by school or work and you usually don’t like that book but you have to work
with it and get through it to get the job done. There will also be a lot of
people you meet that you don’t like but sometimes you just have to work with
them because that’s what you need to do to get the job finished. I think that
the only and best way to read a book is not by your phone or your computer. I
think it is by actually holding that book in your hand and reading of the
pages. Because there is a difference between talking to someone in person and
texting them or reading about them on a social media website. And if I book is
like a person then it is only logical that you actually read the book while
holding it in your hand rather than of a screen to get the best and most personal
experience out of it.

why i read
I read because it lets me escape my normal life. I get to go to another world and experience an adventure that I wouldn't be able to do in the real world. That is why I usually like to read fiction books because they can make things seem possible that are not in the real world. I read because I am looking for that book that can give you the feeling that nothing else is real and it’s just you and the book nothing else bothers you. Also because books can give you a new and exciting way of thinking like from harry potter I would always think what is I was a wizard or what if they actually did exist.
I also read because I think it can also be very educational and can teach you allot about the past. They can show you how people used to act and think from a direct perspective and that's something that you can’t get from the Internet. I always thought it was cool to read a book written by someone who lived a long time ago because it shows the way they used to think back then and how different it is today.
